Executive Editor-in-Chief, Professor Shuanggen Jin Awarded IUGG Fellow

On July 13th, 2019, at the award ceremony of the 27th International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) General Assembly held in Montreal, Canada, Professor Shuanggen Jin, Fellow of European Academy of Sciences, Executive Editor-in-Chief of Satellite Navigation, was awarded the most significant honor in global earth sciences – IUGG Fellow.

Professor Shuanggen Jin was awarded IUGG Fellow Honor Certificate and Medal by the President of IUGG. This award is given every four years, and as 2019 marks the centenary of the establishment of IUGG, winning it this year is even more remarkable. Professor Jin is one of the 7 scientists globally elected for the special honor this year.

IUGG was established in 1919. It is one of the most influential unions in geoscience internationally.

First started in 2013, IUGG Fellow is awarded by the IUGG Bureau to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to international cooperation in geodesy or geophysics and attained eminence in the field of Earth and space sciences.
