The Second Preparatory Meeting of the Editorial Board of International Journal Satellite Navigation Held in the Aerospace Information Research Institute

On Feb 21, 2019, the Second Preparatory Meeting of the Editorial Board of the international journal Satellite Navigation, organized by the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Academy of Opto-Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences), was held in Beijing.
The international journal Satellite Navigation is co-organized by the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Academy of Opto-Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences) and China Science Publishing & Media Ltd and is published by Springer Nature. The journal, with electronic ISSN of 2662-1363, has been selected into the "Project for Enhancing International Impact of China STM Journals 2018 (Class D)" and is scheduled for global open publication in late 2019.
Based in China and faced to the world, the journal is dedicated to quickly reporting the latest technological developments and critiques related to the theory, technology, and application of satellite navigation, with an aim to study satellite navigation theories (such as integrated PNT, micro PNT and resilient PNT, etc.), boost the progress of satellite navigation technology, promote the scientific and public application of satellite navigation and create the most influential and authoritative international journal.
The Editorial Board of Satellite Navigation is made up of 38 top experts from various branches of satellite navigation around the world. The board members are all industry leaders who are working at the forefront of scientific research of satellite navigation. The domestic advisors of the Journal include Academician Sun Jiadong, meritorious scientist for “Two Bombs, One Satellite”, Yang Changfeng, Chief Designer of Beidou Navigation Satellite System, and Academician Liu Jingnan from Wuhan University. The Editor-in-Chief of the Journal is Yang Yuanxi, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, Deputy Chief Designer of Beidou Navigation Satellite System, Executive Chairman of the China Satellite Navigation Conference and an internationally famous expert in satellite navigation, who also presided over the meeting. Experts of the Editorial Board attending the meeting also included Prof. Lu Mingquan from Tsinghua University, Prof. Chen Ruizhi and Prof. Zhao Qile from Wuhan University, Researcher Yuan Yunbin from the Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Wu Yuanxin from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Gou Yujun, Supervisor of the China Satellite Navigation Office and Hao Weina, Director of the Academic Exchange Center of China Satellite Navigation Office.
During the meeting, the Journal’s Editorial Department reported on the progress in its preparatory work and all participants discussed together the review process of the Journal, confirmed the duties of the Editor-in-Chief, the associate editors, the Editorial Board and the Editorial Department and formulated the policy for the selection of Journal articles for 2019-2020. All participating experts indicated that they would cooperate with the Editor-in-Chief and fulfill their duties to ensure that the Journal will be published as scheduled.
